Summary Writing (20 points)

|
Title of the piece read in “quotation marks” (1 point), the author’s name (1 point) and where the reading can be found in the first sentence (1 point);
Restatement of the central idea (in students’ own words) (5 points)

|
Important supporting ideas presented one by one following the order in the original piece;
Written in own words, neutral fashion, without opinions, organized and linked coherently, written 3rd person present tense
